The Department of Neurosciences, under the University of the Philippines College of Medicine, is actively involved in the medical students' exposure to neuroscience. From neuroanatomy at learning unit 3, to pathological conditions starting learning unit 4, until their clinical rotations up to their internship year, the departments' faculty and staff usher these students as they navigate the neurons and tracts and as they manage headaches and strokes (and so much more).
Last year, we also had the opportunity to include post-graduate interns into the fold, as we introduced the Adult Neurology rotation into their curriculum. And as the department has received awards for being one of the Outstanding Clinical Departments (along with Medicine, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, and Surgery), we are also happy to commend the students for their excellent performance during the past school year.
