Outstanding Students AY 2016-2017


In keeping with the department's core value of excellence, the Section of Adult Neurology held the awarding ceremonies of outstanding students in Neurosciences last August 30, 2017 at the Department of Neuroscience conference room.

Leading Class 2021 as the most outstanding LU3 student in Neurosciences is Linnaeus Louisse Cruz who garnered a final grade of 1.25 in OS 202 (Neuroanatomy and Neurophysiology). The section also thanked Mr. Cruz for his generous donation to the Let's Save the Brain Foundation, Inc.

Receiving the award for most outstanding LU4 student in Neurosciences is Tiffany Uy from Class 2020. Tiffany has been the recipient of the prestigious award for two consecutive years (LU3 and LU4).

Ten students from Class 2018 were also awarded as outstanding clerks in Neurosciences. Albert Mitchell Yap topped the roster as the Most Outstanding Clerk in Neurosciences, garnering a grade of 1.25 in OS 251 (Integrated Clinical Clerkship II in Neurosciences). The other awardees, in chronological order, were Francesco Antonio Valdecanas, Patrick Eustaquio, Valerie Ann Cuyegkeng, Almira Doreen Apor, Antonette Mariama Bilog, Leo John Estrada, Marie Abigail Lim, Ma. Sergia Fatima Sucaldito, and Kia Anarna.

Albert Yap, the most outstanding LU6 student for AY 2016-2017, gave the students' response to conclude the said ceremony. He stressed the importance of resourcefulness and compassion in the care of the underserved patients in the Philippine General Hospital.
