Stroke Lay Forum: Galaw-galaw Baka Ma-Stroke!
Galaw-galaw baka ma-stroke, or so the saying goes. Last November 3, the patients at the Philippine General Hospital Outpatient Department learned just how true that was, and (hopefully)
so much more.

To celebrate World Stroke Day (that's every October 29, folks), the residents of the Department of Neurosciences, Section of Adult Neurology held a lay forum tackling the basics of stroke, and gave advice on healthy lifestyle changes to reduce their risk for this disease.

Dr. Epifania Collantes, the Stroke Society of the Philippines' incumbent president, welcomed the crowd.

The participative audience. Gumalaw-galaw nga sila!

One of the emcees, Dr. Romeo Porlas, working the crowd.

Dr. Lennie de Castillo talked about primary prevention - keeping healthy individuals from having stroke.

Dr. Jose Danilo Diestro clueing the audience in on therapeutic options, and the need to have suspected stroke patients be seen by Neurologists.
